TREKKING
Our peninsula has moderate hiking trails, which can each be covered comfortably within 30-45 minutes. The trails are defined rainforest-like ridgetop paths that provide access to private beaches. Along the trails are strategically placed view decks and lookouts, allowing you to enjoy exquisite rainbows, dramatic sunsets, ancient fishponds and spectacular vistas for hundreds of miles.
Korolevu - A small uninhabited island in the Somosomo Strait with three beautiful secluded beaches. A great place for a picnicor snorkelling.
Waterslide - This natural waterslide at Waitavala, Taveuni situated amongst the rainforest provides fun and thrills! The local children are often seen there on Sunday afternoons and they will show you how the 'professionals'
do it! A delightful experience.
Bouma Falls - The Bouma Falls in Taveuni consist of three separate and most beautiful waterfalls. The first is an easy walk, and has a small swimming lake with sandy access for swimming. The second and third entail some minor trekking, and each falls has its own intrinsic beauty. At the top, there are beautiful views across the foothills and out to the ocean. Boat journey to Taveuni, plus one hour by vehicle each way.
Kioa Island - Kioa was bought by people from Tuvalu in 1947 and they still have their very own traditions and language. An experience of a lifetime, watch a traditional Fatelle (dance) with drums and very powerful singing.
Village Tours - Whilst in Fiji, consider a tour to one of the local villages. Be transported to a simpler lifestyle, and enjoy the smiling faces of the villagers and their genuine and enthusiastic welcome.
